“Jar the Floor” is a story about five women. The harder they try not to like each other, the more like them they become. The women all think that they’re better than the generation before them and they spend a lot of time convincing themselves of that fact. In their zeal to be better, they lose sight of their own failings, their own contribution to each other’s failings. Their actions are humorous, but to them it is not about fun, it is about jarring the floor in the midst of the very people who have the power to hurt them most.
