Set in a Harlem storefront church in the 1950’s, “The Amen Corner” tells the story of Pastor Sister Margaret, who faces a spiritual crisis when Luke, her estranged husband, shows up after a ten-year absence. With her congregation turning skeptical and her 18-year-old son David plummeting into an identity crisis, Margaret must now deal with a host of personal demons.
The 2002 production by The Cleveland Playhouse enjoyed the success of a sold-out run.
