Afrodesia is a 43’ cutter-rigged ketch, custom designed by Shannon Boats with collaboration from GladRags. Designing a yacht was quite a treat for Myrna. After living aboard a boat for a few years, she already had several ideas about the need for space, and what could be done to achieve them. Every inch of the space has been customized to meet the client’s needs – right down to the companionway hatch. Myrna designed a multi-piece screen so that the companionway could be open, allowing air to move through the boat while keeping bugs out. After construction was completed, Myrna designed the interior spaces of the boat, featuring original watercolors by Ann Miller depicting Caribbean life, and using a bright teal green as a focal color throughout.

Afrodesia was featured in "The World's Best Sailboats, Volume II"  pages 194 & 198 by Ferenc Mate.  Published by Albatross/W.W. Norton.
